The Bombing of Hiroshima

Early in the school year, I was starting a short-story that was set five hundred years after World War Three. I asked my step-dad about the Second World War, and he told me how it started and how many scientific and military achievments had been made during the war. He also told me about the bombing of Hiroshima. He told me about how the bomb had burnt or blown up everything, only leaving fragments of the victims' shadows. I became extremely interested in the bombs, but never felt compelled to do any research. When NHD came u, I took my interest and turned it into a project.
I first had to do a little background research: the basics of the bombing. The actual event. I had to record all of my information (and any sites I thought were helpful) on NoodleTools. The research was really easy, but eventually got boring because I simply ran out of things to research. But then I got a bit... creative... with what I put into the search engine. I researched the different types of bombs, a video interview, and even the effects of radiation on people. I also found stories of people who had survived.
So, at first, I wanted to do a documentary. I enjoy films (and acting. I thought it wouldn't be different) and wanted to make my project fun and interesting to view. And then, about half-way through the project, I realized something: I don't have the equipment to actually make a documentary. I ended up switching to individual website because I had experimented with Weebly before and found it fun to do and fun to view.
The bombing of Hiroshima is related to the NHD theme because it was a great scientific and military achievement. It also ended the Japanese side of the war because of the mass-destruction. The bombing of Hiroshima also made Japan the peaceful country it is today. Japan has multiple peace memorials now because of the bombing.
